Galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition or tab A 9.7. which one is better to draw?

[Android Central Question]

I'm looking for a tablet with s pen that allow to draw and illustrate with the main apps (Illustrator, etc) but with low budget.

Is it worth it to buy a note 10.1 2014 edition today? Or should be better the tab a 9.7?

PS: this are the main models that I found it to buy (in Brazil, with aprox ~R$600).

Does anyone use this models to draw?

Can I ask why you are looking at such out dated tablets? I understand needing something low cost but the Note 10 is from 2013 and is based on the same hardware as the Note 3 phone. The version of Android it runs is no longer compatible with some apps including Adobe Illustrator. At least the play store lists the Note 3 as no longer compatible. (Still own my Note 3 and just checked) As for performance it was alright but became laggy if I worked with multiple layers and it couldn't keep up with quick pen movements, there was obvious input lag in some drawing apps.

The Tab A I have no experience with but it's from 2015 and was a budget device with a terrible screen. It may or may not perform better and while I'm not sure what version of Android it currently runs, if it hasn't run into compatibility problems already it will sooner than later.

I've got no idea about pricing in Brazil but I couldn't in good faith recommend either of these for drawing in 2020.

While I'm no professional artist I have been using wacom drawing tablets since 2007 and a variety of Samsung and Surface products to draw on since. So I do have enough experience to say the experience on those old devices wouldn't be great.

Of those devices the Note 10.1 2014 would be better as it has the S-pen, or a stylus anyway. However, it would not be a good device to buy this year. I had one of those and I am already considering replacing the device that replaced it.
