galaxy note 2 sbcglobal mail problem

Just got a note 2 and im very pleased with it.
I do have a problem with my sbcglobal email. Upon initial setup everything worked fine with that email, however all my emails just randomly dissappeared. I have tried deleting the account and re ins r alling but the problem persists.
Any advice?
