Galaxy Note 3: Chrome bezel

Hey guys, is it me or the bezzle on this beast really sensitive to getting marked up? Mines in a tpu case and yet stilk manages mark ups..

I haven't had issues with mine yet, and also keep it on a TPU case, but I had an S4 with the Flip cover and that paint job didn't stay on the phone for more than two months. It's nice that it resembles actual metal, but yeah, the paint is too frail.

It does mark easily. I have mine in a UAG case - so I have no issues with the casing, but Samsung does not make a high quality, scratch resistant device.

Mine has a smashed corner from a small drop. Plastic is very soft. However, mine looks to have scratches all around it, but when I wipe the bezel they all come off. Except for the big smashed corner. Try wiping it down and see if they are still there. I hate cases, but I do think I will have to get one for this phone. Not sure how else it will make it the full 2 years.

mines been in a tpu case and im very careful..yet still small marks the size of a pin tapping it..so annoying..gna get it exchanged from Carphonewarehouse..hehe..

Wiping it does get rid of some of the marks that seemed like scratches..

Guess we cant even replace the bezel later on if it gets too bad

I bought a replacement bezel off of ebay. I somehow scratched it. I read in a forum that a seller on ebay was selling them for $19.99. After ordering it I found out I had to receive a replacement phone from VZW and I didnt need it. However, I keep it in my accessory drawer in case I need it in the future.

Hmm. This is all new to me. The bezel looks like it will last, but now after all these posts, I'm all the more convinced not to use my S4 naked. I've bought over half a dozen different cases, but have always gravitated to the Speck Candy Shell. Very grippy and covers the bezel fully.

No issues with it on my S4. Except for a little knick at the bottom, but that's my fault for not noticing it was there since I bought it

It is very fragile, and will wear. Just look at it like the phone is getting character.

Yes, the "chrome" bezel sucks. I'm pretty disappointed with that portion of the phone.
