Hey guys! I loved my past notes, but was waiting to hear more about the video recording and camera. What I have read it is the same as the S4, I don't have an S4, but I do like to record here and there and at times, I am at a concert, small venue, loud, etc. The Htc One did a great job, anyone know if this will work without the distortion in loud areas?

The video recording is about the best your will get on a cell phone. The "smooth" mode produces clear, stable video. The audio is reordered quite well also (it records in stereo). The 4k option I can not really test out because I have no money left for that kind of TV. I have had an S4, an LG G2, iPhone 5 and my wife has the 5s. The Note 3 beats them all quite easily with the video recording.

The Note 3 will be subpar for recording concerts when compared to the HTC One. I love Samsung phones, but they are not the greatest for loud rock concerts.

Maybe yes maybe no. The sound recorded is excellent on the Note 3. Also the mega pixel advantage is a big advantage. Also whatever Samsung has done with its digital stabilization is outstanding with the video recording. Check out the GSM review. He says it is the best video on a cell phone they have ever seen. I have gone though many phones (not the One though Verizon blew that). I have never seen the video this good on my HDTV from any of them.

It is going to boil down to the microphone on the Note 3. It can take the greatest video in the world but the sound will be dependent on the mic. I wish I had a concert recently or one coming up to test it at. But, you could try blaring your stereo speakers in an enclosed room and see if it sounds good (or at least only as distored as the speakers themselves sound).

Haven't done the concert recording lately (unfortunately!). The sound recording of voices and just average type sounds has been stellar. Next concert for me is in December we will see then!!

I did some video recording on 4K, but I don't know how I'm going to be able to view in 4K if the N3's screen isn't capable of displaying 4K resolution. Sure I can move the source over to a 4K compatible monitor, but it would be nice if the N3 had the capability to play its own 4K video at 4K. The video does a good job of recording, but I'm still not sure why a 4K mode is needed if the phone can't perform 4K playback.

I used mine recently at a concert and was not impressed. It sounded just like my S4 in terms of not being able to handle the bass. My buddy has an HTC and his sounded so much better, but that would never be enough to steer away from my Note 3.

I recently bartended at a loud concert and took a video and the sound was very good

THE BEAST,,NOTE 3. SIZE IS EVERYTHING!!!

I unfortunately deleted the videos I took. Can anyone post some they have taken with good sound?
