Is the Note 3 worth $299 when compared to $139 for the HTC One or LG G2 purchased with the Verizon30 promotional code? I know it's subjective but the phones are similar in many ways.

The Note 3 is the only one of those phones I'd want.

HTC. Metal case means more weight, permanent dents and dings. I really don't understand the concept of the metal is premium mindset. no uSD slot or battery access. Small screen.

LG G2 good hardware, poor company support going forward, also poor developer support, smaller screen, no uSD slot or battery access. Likely poor accessory market as well.

I'm trying to justify the expenditure. I have tried both the HTC One and the LG G2. Both were good phones but both were lacking something. I just might be the type of person who needs the newest phone out there. It ends up costing me in restocking fees. At least VZW allows endless returns and new purchases.

It is all up to the user. I don't really care much about removable battery or expandable memory (if i have 32mb) but I want the biggest screen possible with good hardware. So the note 3 seem to fit that bill on Verizon. The HTC one was too small for me and the G2 was nice but it felt slippery. I buy phones and keep them until upgrade so having a Note 3 would not be a two month investment. Having the phone I want is worth $160 when it comes to having it for two years.

I have enjoyed the G2, but it seems to want to be a phablet. A lot of the features seem to be that of the Note line. The phone runs smooth, but it honestly is a little boring, it seems like it is just trying too hard to be like touchwiz.

S-Pen is a huge difference. I really like the HTC One, but i have no confidence they will be around much longer. While updates are not the end of the world, if a security exploit occurs, I want my phone manufacture to fix it, not sure that will be the case with HTC. The G2 has a beautiful screen, but the skin turned me off. Neither has the S-Pen, which I use all the time on my Note 2 and now on my Note 3. BTW the G2 and the rumored Nexus 5 along with the Note 3 were on my short list, but after 5 minutes in the store, it was a no brainer, I had to have another Note.

If you don't use the S-Pen, then save some money and get the G2 (if you like the skin).

Let's just say that I just sold my htc one and got this phone. The One is a great phone, but the N3 is a beast!

I think you can justify the extra cost easily. The S-pen really makes the Note 3 more than a phone. It makes it into a working tool. The bigger screen for some, replaces a tablet. If you can get away with it I Would rather pay an extra $100 for the phone and Save $400 on a tablet.

Sent from the baddest device on the planet, my brand new Galaxy Note 3.
