Galaxy Note 4-cannot be heard during calls, but mic works for google, etc

[AC Question]

A couple of weeks ago, nobody could hear me on calls. When using google or whatever, it has no problem hearing my voice to enter text.

I attempted to update to the latest software for quite some time and it would never work. So far, I cleared the cache and went so far as to do a factory reset and then I still couldn't be heard after reboot and updating the AT&T software.

Anyi deas?

Welcome to Android Central! Can people hear you on speakerphone, or using wired/Bluetooth headsets? If so, then the primary phone mic is probably blocked or broken. Check the mic opening to make sure it isn't clogged by debris. If it looks pretty clear, then you may have to get the primary mic replaced.

Speakerphone and OK Google generally use the secondary mic (near the top of the phone), which is why that still works.
