apologies if there is a Note 8 forum... I didn't spot one, so I thought this forum probably closest

I love handwriting on the tablet with the Spen but I find it a bit small for prolonged periods of writing eg taking meeting notes.

I'm looking for a full sized version of the S pen. I tried this Samsung Pen Holder Kit for Note (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&...ag=hawk-future-21&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU3402969)

... but it doesn't work on the Note 8

Any ideas of what else I could try?

Is there a Wacom pen I could try?
Thanks!

The s-pen holder kit you bought does work. You need to either remove the pen that is in the tablet or disable the battery saving option in the s-pen settings. I thought the same thing at first.
But honestly you're better off getting a Wacom pen.

Here is a web site that lists the wacom pens that work ( Wacom Asia Pacific | Pen Compatibility ). Basically any pen in the top group(light blue) will work. All of those models have been discontinued for a while but you can still find them by searching online. I got mine from ebay(UP-801E).

Samsung also makes a larger s-pen with an eraser, the ET-S200EBE, but I find that the side switch is difficult to press.

I used my tablet with drawing apps and don't know if the eraser or side switch will work with the note taking app that you are using, so you would lose out those functions, but having a larger pen is definitely better to hold for long periods.

Hope that helps

Stupid me, I have the tablet next to me, and I forgot I could must test it. The side switch definitely works at least to take a screen shot, so I'm assuming it will function the same as with the spen. The eraser also works in snote but it may not work in the app that you are using. If the app you are using is free I can test it for you.

thanks!!
So annoyed about that pen holder; there was no information with it or on the Amazon page explaining how to make it work.
But I will look for a Wacom pen.
I am using S Note and Evernote to take notes

Side note, there is a Galaxy Note 8 forum, but it's up in the Samsung Phone section. There's actually a thread going trying to figure out how it ended up there.

Anyhow, I use the Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel for my Note 8. It's much more comfortable writing for extended periods of time as it's close to the size and weight of an average quality ink pen.

If you choose to order it, be sure to make sure it's the one designed for Samsung Notes. There are two version of the Feel and the other seems to be for Windows tablets.

Thanks for reply... and for letting me know where the Note 8 forum is.
I've ordered the Wacom Feel

Yes thank you as well. I have the 8.0 too
