My s8+ phone dialer launches when I try and select number text that is also a link.
A recent example - FedEx sent me an email with the tracking number contained in the email. When I click the number/link on my phone it launches dialer and plugs in the tracking number as a phone number.
If I do this on my desktop PC, it launches the FedEx site and drills to my package.
A quick look at the underlying hyperlink shows that it is some long cryptic series of letters and numbers but starting with a fedex domain, and obviously not a phone number.
Android on my phone is not seeing the link, only the surface number string which is much longer than a typical USA phone number. If the tracking number contains a letter (UPS) it does what it is supposed to do.
How can I resolve this problem?
