Daughter has a galaxy player 5.0, yp-g70. She dropped it and shattered the glass. Well, I went on Ebay and found a replacement glass and ordered that and it was the only one I could find. I read and re-read the title and description several times and even looked at the pictures. The add reads.....For Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 YP-GB70 YP-G70 Digitizer Touch Screen Glass. In any case, I go on with the purchase and today, I finally got the glass, well, you guessed it it isn't exactly right. Apparently, as the title would suggest Samsung made two versions of these. The glass looks like it will fit and lines up, the problem is it has a cut out for the home button, but her version doesn't have that cut out. I suppose I have two/three options return the glass and keep looking or buy another unit to replace it or go ahead and install the glass and figure out something for the home button.
Any ideas?? Is there any way to get this glass to work?
I took the cracked glass off before I ordered to be certain I could do that part. It appears that the circuit 'board' in the glass goes to the home button, but it also feels like it can be pressed manually. The worst part is she's four and has been missing her player and was so excited the glass finally got here!!!!
