Galaxy S II to updated to Android 4.0

Does that include the Epic 4G Touch?

It says Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S2 LTE, but no Galaxy S2 WiMax.

Yes, the E4GT is a GS2. So we will be getting the update as well....

The current list only mentions specific non-carrier phones, which does NOT include Carrier-specific phones like the E4GT. They wouldve said "Galaxy S II line" if they were going to include all Galaxy S II devices, but they didnt. I expect (hope...?) that they will update all of the carrier versions of the Galaxy S II, but the article mentions that they may come out with a revised list for American carriers.

I'll bet you 5$ the E4GT/GS2 gets a 4.0 update sometime in the 1st Quarter of 12..lol... Or the 2nd Quarter. I myself love Gingerbread. I'm gonna really miss it once it's gone. :( It will be kinda like my dog when I was little that ran away and I never saw it again. Jk. I just drank a large cup of coffee!! Anyway it will get here when it gets here. Rip Gingerbread!!! :o

If Sprint is going to push an ICS phone next year then the likelyhood of the Samsung Epic 4G Touch getting ICS in an reasonable time is slim. Either way, there will be decent ICS ROMs when the unbranded SGS2 gets ICS officially.

Man. . .got my Epic 4G coming in the mail this week and I'll be getting a new os for it in a few months. Oh well. Kinda excited for that.

The E4GT will get ICS sometime between Feb-Oct of 2012. Maybe even as early as Q1 2013 with sammy's upgrade record.

But when ICS rolls out, People are going to need Jenny Craig, Dr. Phill, and a team of labotonists to get people under control. Because......

1. It's going to be promised but will get delayed. (People will start eating ICS's from piggley wiggley)
2. Will start rolling out in waves so people will get anxiety attacks. (will need to see a shrink)
3. By the time it reaches you, it will get pulled because it borks the phone. ( at this point, you'll need a lobotomy to stay under control).

By the time this happens. The Samsung Galaxy S III LTE Epic 4G Multitouch Note will be available.

This may be a stupid question, but what is ICS? I need to catch up on my reading, been so busy I just browse and don't research anymore lol.

Here it is the end of the first quarter as sprint
Would say n. Still no 4.0 upgrade to ics
For my galaxy s2 epic, also still no 4G service
In my area! Sprint sucks n. Is full of

The end of the 1st Quarter is March 31. Give Sammy and Sprint a little break here as no other phone manufacturers has ICS updates for their 2011 phones. In fact they are still releasing phones in 2012 with Gingerbread. The ICS update must not be a quick and easy thing.

4G/WiMax. Yeah, this stinks. I'm kinda happy that Sprint will probably not be going with LightSquared for LTE. Their partnership with Clearwire for WiMax was a real bust.

It doesn't look like anyone is going with LightSquared.

LightSquared Looks to Lawyers to Overcome FCC's Decision - WSJ.com

The lawyers are investigating the merits of a potential suit against the Federal Communications Commission, which this week rejected LightSquared's plan for a broadband network, and the Global Positioning System industry. GPS companies and Defense Department officials have argued that LightSquared's signal could interfere with their networks.
