Galaxy S is laggy

Hi. all
I have froyo 2.2. It seems that the phone is somewhat laggy when I use contacts or simply browse apps or photos. By laggy, I mean stuck for a split second without multi-tasking.
Do you know anything about this?

Galaxy S phones have not gotten 2.2 from any American carriers. There have been a few froyo leaks, but its use at your own risk. Some get good results some dont.

Needless to say root is required to install a froyo leak.

Anyways, try a factory reset. Or use the native built in task killer first, maybe you just got too much stuff running.

thank samsung for that rfs format of your internal sd that slows down your phone. hopefully this is the last phone that they add this to because it sucks

The froyo I'm using is official, not leaked version. This is how I got my phone from my carrier.

RFS is samsungs relilable file system, intended specifically for dealing with the pecularities of flash devices. It's not a traditional file system and seems to have performance problems that make the whole phone feel abnormally laggy or slow.

Galaxy Tab is running 2.2 on 3g, doesn't lag at all.

Yep. I don't think it uses rfs
