Galaxy S10+/Gear S weather problem

I have a Galaxy S10+ and a Gear S watch. Everything works perfectly except the wather app. Instead using the watches weather app and displaying weather data on the watch screen, it only sends wather data as notifications - two at a time! How do I weather back to the main watch screen and the watch wather app?
