Galaxy S25Ultra to Galaxy S24Ultra

Is it worth swapping my Galaxy S25Ultra for the Galaxy S24Ultra? I want the fully functional s-pen.

I'm going to be honest about this SPen debacle. I was so pissed when Samsung removed the BT features, so I kept my S24U. Knowing that Samsung is not bringing these features back, we've gotta move on eventually. That is why Im holding on to my Tab S9 Ultra. At least I will have it on that.

I'm missing a fully functual s-pen, and the magnetic back. If i found an S24U in mint condition, i'd be willing to swap.

I use camera assistant to snap photos hands-free on S25U. Out of curiosity, what else are you missing from the earlier S-Pen?

Other thing- S24U doesn't have a magnetic back (same as 25 and likely will be the same with 26) unless you are referring to attaching magnetic accessories?

That's what i meant. Attaching magnetic accessories like a pop socket.

Got it. So with this new feature, how do I get myself in a group photo? Sorry, but this way is all new to me. I used to just use the s-pen on my other galaxy.

Although I usually use my S pen on my s24U for group shots, I also have 'Voice Commands' turned on in Camera Settings/Shooting Methods & just say 'Shoot'!



That being said, if it's a noisy environment, it might not be very effective.

Also, there is the camera timer setting. I haven't tried it.

In the screenshot there's "show palm". I've used this one a bunch of times. It's always funny then it looks like you're waving at the camera. For us I'd say it caught us about 60% of the time. There's just no beating the SPen for this, and no guessing.

The s24u really is a nice device. I haven't had any problems with it.

Question for you guys. I'm very familiar with Google apps, but I was wondering if it's better to use the Samsung apps that came on the phone. Such as...phone, contacts, msgs, etc. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I use native apps whenever possible. Back in the day, I used HTC apps on my MOne 8. If I had a Pixel, I'd use Google apps. My S24U, the only Google apps I use are Maps and Wallet.

Haha. I've been reading all about the s25u vs the s26u, and which one is better. IMO I'll take the s24u over both of them!
