Was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with battery life with this update

There are lots of issues with this update, Samsung knows and has suspended the rollout for now. There's more info elsewhere in these forums. Either wait for an update to fix the issues, or try flashing back to 4.1.2 via Kies.

I had a host of problems after updating. They still remain. I Googled it and found out that supposedly the update was pulled at back on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Meanwhile, I wasn't aware of that, and did the upgrade just after midnight (Pacific Time). I'm not sure how I was able to do that, but the results are a total mess.


I found the phone to be very slow (especially when booting - it takes forever now). So, I did a factory reset. That barely fixed the problem (still long time to boot, but maybe just a tad faster).

Then I let Google update all my previous apps (and as usual, that failed, so I did the rest manually).

Once I got them all installed, I ran into problems when I booted the phone. MAJOR problems - like it hung at boot. So I had to reset it again, the problem repeated itself. The phone was unusable

So now I've done a third factory reset, and have only installed a handful of the apps I had installed before the update, and it's working OK (boot is still slow though). I hope AT&T/Samsung fixes this soon!
