I picked up my phone this morning, it had been lying on the nightstand all night. The back of it was VERY warm. It wasn't plugged in
charging or anything. I took the case off, took the battery out and left it out for about 10 minutes. Has seemed okay since then.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so why is it occuring?

Thanks

just curious, what kind of cell signal do you have? Just a hunch but I'm guessing the signal isn't the strongest. I've come to find that if my S3 is in a weak signal area it will get warm..

Check your battery usage stats to see which application is using the battery. It's probably something scanning for reception or location.
