galaxy s3 battery problem

Hi there right well I upgraded to 4.1.2 yesterday all done wirlessly and plenty of charge all went great. Then the battery started to drain RAPIDLY it dropped from 90% to 15% In an hour doing nothing wtf. I plugged in wall charger and it started charging slowly but charging none the less. It dropped to 24% last night went to bed plugged it in and 9 hrs later it had charged to 42% I have turned the phone off and let it charge still very slow and never gets past 42% I have factory reset, tutned off location sevices turned wifi, gps, off and have no apps installed yet its still draining battery while plugged in on charge and quickly. Ive thought about re-calibrating but cant get the battery to 100% to do it oh and if I get it to 42% and remove the battery it drops yo 15% when replaced is this just a tired battery just seem a bit suspect that its happened immediately after I updated firmware.
Any help woukd be greatly aporeciated.

Have you tried a different charger? Have you pulled the battery out for a few minutes?
Don?t bother with) Wipe Battery Stats
This has been thoroughly debunked by Google. The battery stats file simply records information. It has no impact on actual battery life at all.

Hard reset.
Pull the battery out for 5 minutes.....put it back and fully charge it with the phone off.

Also try a different charger.
