Galaxy s3 charging lag?

Okay, so I've found sort of a weird thing with CyanogenMod 10.1.2 on my AT&T galaxy s3. When I plug in the charger, it detects it immediately. However, when I unplug it, it can take as long as 20 seconds to realize it's not charging. Now, this isn't a problem for me, but it's a little weird. If the phone is off and charging it works fine, so I know it's CyanogenMod. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? If so, I would really like to know. Thanks!

How did you correct this? I have same issue on Cyanogenmod but only happens with certain charges.
