Galaxy S3 display issue

Hi guys;
Got my S3 a few days back; I was very happy the way it performed;
however the one issue I noticed was the display brightness was too low sometimes;
so today I read an article about the second OTA update fixing the issue;
so I updated my phone; and indeed it fixed the issue; but gave me an even bigger one in return
the color contrast when viewing videos have gone up like crazy; I will attach some pics to help you people understand my situation;

when i take screen shots they show up this way

which is pretty much the way I like and wish they'd be.

and yes; I have tried changing the Screen Mode; it doesnt work;
I used both the defaul video player and MX Player;
Please help me out;

I was in the AT&T store earlier and noticed how awful the screen looked with the over saturated the screen was. It looked like a kids fake screen. How is this such a popular selling phone?

Put side by side with the one x, the gs3 looks like a super cheap display.

I was suppose to buy it today, but I can not deal with that screen and fake colors. The home button is awful too.

Yeah... Mine looks nothing like that; I'd see about exchanging it. The colors on my screen look amazing, and I came from an EVO LTE.

I personally think its a great device; just the s/w update seems to be the issueO

no no.. i dont think i should exchange it; the device worked fine till today ; its just the s/w update issue.

There's settings in the display menu that control the saturation of the screen.

The blazing speed, great camera, solid stability and good enough screen is why its selling so well. Also despite what others may say its a sweet looking phone to.

is the problem limited to that video ? or just one particular codec ? does look odd, I've not seen one do that.
If you cant resolve it I'd swap it for another, possibly from a different source

its solved; no probs
