hello everybody i just wanted to ask because i had galaxy s2 before and the internal 16gb wasnt for apps but i heard that in the galaxy s III the i can use the 16gb for applications and stuff..thanks alot

The whole 16gb is one chunk of storage, and can be used for apps. You'll have about 12gb free when you boot up your phone.

Can we change the name of the internal memory?
I'm not sure that I understand your question - what 'name' is it that you're referring to?

The internal memory (that an unrooted user has access to) is known as /mnt/sdcard (there's also a symbolic link to /sdcard).
If you put in a micro SDCard, that's identified as /mnt/extSdCard.
These 'names' (if you want to call them that) are not changeable.
