galaxy S3 mini wont load

Hi all,
Hope someone can help!! I have an S3 mini. it will charge and turn on but it stays on the power on screen with the blue swirling loop around the logo. I need to back it up onto a computer because to repair it will require memory wiping. How can I do this??

Welcome to Android Central! A few things you could try:

1. Power off, remove the SD card, and try powering on again. If the SD is corrupt, it can cause various problems.

Hi,
Tried what you suggested with clearing the cache but it still wont reboot properly
rally don't want to do a factory reset until I can work out how to get irreplaceable pics off it :-((

It sounds like your only option is to reload the firmware - under normal circumstances you shouldn't lose your data, but there's no guarantees.

Do you remember what firmware version you had?
