I have both. Only one can stay. Which one should I keep and why. I am a rooter and like to experiment. I love the stock on RAZR HD jellybean but Samsung has good software

You have both, unlike most people who have this question. Use both and then make a decision and feel free to let us know what you decide.

Selling one for Christmas money. just got S3 and the software seemed interesting. I've always used Motorola phones. I posted this in both forums hoping to hear from users of both

Only good things I can say about the RAZR HD:

-Battery Life: more like a 18 hour with heavy usage, but yeah 24 hour life while mild usage.
-Screen is beautiful. 1280x720 is better than my old HP monitor! Colors are vibrant and pop out.
-I get great 4G reception where I live, so webpages load quickly and apps download in just seconds.
-Personal Preference: I love the design! I have the White RAZR HD and it's very attractive to look at. I love the kevlar back cover, nanotechnology covering to prevent liquid damage (although not tested personally) is a welcome additon for when I take my phone to the bathroom while I shower to listen to Pandora. The build feels light yet sturdy.
-The best thing yet: near stock Jelly Bean. I had a Nexus 7 with JB installed, and Moto's OS is so close to stock JB (with minor tweaks), you'd think it was a Nexus phone.

I had both and kept the RAZR. Galaxy's horrible radio being the main issue.

Id go with the RAZR HD as well. Both my parents have the SG3 and it IS an amazing phone...but not near as sleek and sexy as the RAXR IMO. *grins* the speakerphone on the RAZR seemed much better, as well as call sound quality. Just a couple things Ive noticed. Also, if you dont have a case on it...the SG3 is a slippery sucker!! LOL

Galaxy S III.

Not even a competition.

Galaxy S III does more than any Motorola phone at the moment.

I've heavily considered the Note 2. I've heard about app crashing issues...I dunno though.

I've had application crashing issues but my friends swear they haven't. There are a few on the forums who also experience this while many don't. I guess it really depends on who you are and the luck of the draw. I had SiriusXM force close on me twice in a row before I could get it running earlier today. Never happened on my Motorola RAZR HD that I had.
