Galaxy s4 camera / galaxy S6

[AC Question]

Wondering if I take out the rear camera from my S4 will it be able to work/replace the cracked camera on my galaxy S6. I know be easier to buy replacement but just wondering if it could or would work/be possible.

Smartphones having really tightly compacted parts inside don't allow for much wriggle-room to mix and match components from phone to phone.
The S4 camera has different shape and connector than one in a S6:
