Galaxy S4 Extremely Slow After 4.3 Update

I'm new to this forum so if you could give a helping hand that would be great.

I updated my S4 a while back with the 4.3 update and ever since then everything about the phone has been super laggy - texting, the reaction of the touchscreen, apps (especially YouTube) - absolutely everything is significantly slower than before.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem at all ???

Which S4? What carrier?

I have Verizon and my S4 has been very slow since I updated it on Dec. 19, 2013. Many apps also now freeze and force close. If anyone has any info as to how to fix this I'd appreciate the help! Loved the S4 before the Android 4.3 update.

Have you tried going to developers option and change 3 animation settings go to 0.5x? Mine was slow but changing to 0.5x made it super fast. And I Am loving it. Google it - show developer option on S4.
once there, half way down the screen change 3 settings to 0.5x or even 0
Window animation scale
Transition animation scale
Animator duration scale

And see the difference. You will Thank me for ever

That didn't help......... Gallery is very slow opening a photo and switching between aps is no better than before

I checked for.updates this am and it said my software was up to date, but how do I tell what software I actually have?

God bless u. I purchased new chargers, batteries ect etc still nothing worked, tried every god damn thing, still nothing and ur post made my day. i followed ur instructions and restarted my fone just now and yyyiipppeee my battery meter that was stuck on 55% for last 3hrs zoomed to 68% within minutes.
