Galaxy S4 - JB 4.3 - Marking already read emails as unread/Also new msgs not in notification area

Just updated my Galaxy S4 to 4.3 and noticed two problems right away:

First, on syncing email accounts, some messages that have already been read are randomly marked as unread again,resulting in it appearing that there are some new messages when in fact there are only some old ones that were re-marked.

Also, when actual new messages come in, although the email icon on the home screen may show that there's new mail, the notification area doesn't always reflect this. Thus, if I'm on a different one of the other home screens, I may not know I have new mail.

Anyone else having similar issues? Any ideas on fixes?

I am have the same issues. Exchange email stopped loading new emails. Yahoo account works and uploads.
