galaxy s4, no mobile network

I have a samsung galaxy s4 from verizon that is internationally unlocked. I put a metro/t-mobile sim card in it along with the apn for it but its still saying there is no mobile network. Is there something that im missing so I can have this fixed?

is it a global or prepaid? Those are the only phones that you have to contact verizon to have unlocked because they do not lock their phones. Well as long as have paid the phone off anyways. if not maybe try to connect to wifi first or are you getting data just not able to call?
