Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 Software Update Problem

I have recently had trouble updating my phone for the past month or so. The past three times a software update was available it would download the update, reboot the phone, but fail as soon as it turned back on saying "update interrupted." And every time I checked for an update in between it would say the firmware was up to date, even Kies said the same thing. I do, however, have my phone rooted and a custom recovery installed. Could this be the main problem? I think even before it was rooted it failed too. It has been the same 357.38 mb update every time.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Bingo!

The custom recovery is most likely your problem.

I would recommend looking for a very stockish build custom ROM off the latest official OS update and flash that. Normally these are thrown out there within the first few days of a major update.

Ah you're probably right!
I was starting to think the same thing, I'll look into those roms thank you.
