I updated to kit kat today & after the update I noticed I had about 4 new apps appear & my memory was 2.15GB which is fine. I haven't downloaded anything & now my memory is 2.24GB so what is using my memory? Is it coz I've opened the new apps & they have created files? I'm really stumped. Any help would be much appreciated.

Oh didn't think of that thanks. Any ideas of a good cleaning app?

No need for a cleaning app, just go to:

Settings -More tab -Storage -click on Cached Data then Ok and you're done. :)

Thanks will do that. What happens after I clear the cache? Will the apps create it again when I open the app?

Yep.
They will indeed. I cleared mine a month ago, it was at around 1.7GB, its currently sitting at 323mb.

For the most part, the cache is a good thing--- for the apps you use all the time. It really speeds up transitions and reduces processor (and hence battery) use. But it's good to clear it once in awhile to get rid of garbage you're not using. :)
