This morning I woke up to my alarm going off on my phone, as I forgot to turn it off the night before. I went over deactivated the alarm, unplugged the phone and brought it to my nightstand. Everything seemed to be in working order. I fell asleep for another half hour or so and when I woke up my phone refused to turn on. Now every time I press the power button It vibrates and the Samsung Galaxy logo comes up, but it immediately turns off. When I plug it in it just vibrates every couple seconds, as if it's repeatedly trying to turn on but it can't. The indicator light does not come on.
I've tried taking out the battery, SIM, etc. and I've tried holding home power and volume up, all to no avail. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Welcome to Android Central! Batteries can fail without warning, so the first thing to try is a new or different battery.
