I downloaded a picture shared from my grandson on Google Drive. I saw the bytes being tabulated but cannot find where the picture went.

I have the settings to only download with WiFi but I was connected to WiFi when I did this.

I also have an SD card but cannot find the picture on my SD card or device.

Any suggestions as to where the picture went?

it saves it to the "phone storage" in the "Download" folder. You can access that via the default file explorer

I noticed that when I download and image from Google photos/Google drive I am not able to see those images in the Gallery app. I had to download a file explorer.

I figured it out. Just open the shared picture from Google Drive and then do a palm sweep from left to right. The photo is saved to the clipboard and then can be seen and manipulated from Gallery.
