How do you stop the S5 vibrating when you turn it off?! It is on mute and yet insists on vibrating. Very annoying. Anyone got a good tip?

You're talking about the 2-3 vibrations when it's turning off?
That's normal on all the Galaxy devices I have when the volume is down. No big deal really.

I've never found a way. My Note 3 behaves this way as well.

That's right. It's not that big a deal, but when in bed at night and my wife is asleep next to me, I need to do everything I can to avoid waking her!

Rather than turning it off at night, I would suggest just putting the phone in airplane mode. No texts, emails, notifications, etc. will get through and the phone will use almost zero battery overnight.

If that's the reason why just hold it. Don't keep it on a table :).

You can also lower the volume down all the way to silence.
