Too bad, the regular S6 and S6 edge doesn't have the same battery as that active one. That would really make it the "best phone of the year."

Both models would be more,thick. You would still have people unhappy that the battery is not swappable.

Exactly. It's not that thick when you think about it. It's also the same weight as the S6/edge

I don't think that would sway me. The single biggest factor for me is size and pocketablility, I don't like the current trends to larger phones. So when I heard the dimensions of the GS6 it was a huge + for me right off the bat (still too big for me but my choices are limited). A heavier thicker phone goes against my primary criteria, although I won't be able to tell until I see them side by side.

The other reason is I'm on Evil Red who doesn't seem to get many phone styles.

Read the GSMarena link mentioning "rumored" April 2015 release. Surely the actives will be another 3 months or so behind right?

Yeah, so far the understanding is it's only for ATT

Yeah I can't imagine it coming any sooner than that. GSMArena also states that the S6 Active was announced in March, which obviously isn't true. My guess is they just copied over the info from the regular S6.

Can't wait that long. Not even for a 3500 mAh battery. Need far better specs to make me wait.
