Galaxy S6 Cell Standby and Android System draining battery. AT&T.

I've had my S6 for about a month now and upon first using it, Android OS was the leading factor in battery drain. It was at the top of the usage list with 36%. I installed Battery Doctor and it seemed to fix the problem. Now Android OS stays between 2-5% of my battery each day.

What's been happening lately is that Cell Standby and Android System are using the majority of my battery. Cell Standby currently at 20% after 8 hours and Android System at 17%. The next on the list is my screen - which is only at 7%.

I did a factory reset today and disabled any built-in apps that I don't use, but it hasn't helped. I love the phone, but this is becoming really frustrating.

Does anyone know any solutions?

Re: Galaxy S6 Cell Standby and Android System draining battery. AT&T.

Welcome to Android Central.

I've noticed that after the 5.1.1 update with At&t, my battery life took a turn for the worse. Android System is normally the highest with Android OS following it. Then either gpsd or Google services are next followed by screen on.

Hopefully we will see better battery life in the 6.0 update coming in January.
