ok new guy here so be easy.. I have a galaxy edge s6 that is brand new, when I turn it on it constantly reboots, freezes or throws up random error messages. I also have a note 4 that does the same thing, also new unused. I contacted Samsung they said they cant help me because they are Samsung phones from outside the USA. I would have to send them to india to get Samsung to repair or replace them. I was hoping by some miracle I could find someone on here from Columbus ohio or close that I could take them to to get repaired, thanks in advance

Where did you buy the phones? If they're new, can't you return them to the seller for a replacement?

I buy items from shipping company's that are undeliverable, due to incorrect address or in this case couldn't be shipped due to lithium battery. I bought both in a lot and would like to keep one for myself and sell the other. they were purchased directly from amazon, but I cant return them because im not the original purchaser.

There are a lot of cloned phones out there. A "real" Note 4 or S6 wouldn't have the problems you're seeing, especially if they're brand new. Heaven only knows where these phones came from or if they're actually OEM. Have you tried factory resetting them in recovery? Factory reset Note 4... and S6. If they don't work after a factory reset, then I don't know what could solve the problems.

have you got samsung kies on on a computer??

I was worried about them being clones, so I took them to a Samsung rep in store, they checked them out checked the esn and SN and their conclusion was that they were real. he thought the software was corrupt and needed reflashed but he couldn't do it because the phones were from india if I remember correctly. he said the software was different.

If you know the exact model numbers of the phones, or the exact OS version currently running on the phones, then you could attempt reflashing the OS's using Odin. There are a lot of tutorials about using Odin on these phones and Sammobile or Youmobile may have the correct firmware you can download. You must not flash a different firmware, (country or carrier), or you could brick the phones. Then again, even if you reflash, there's no guarantee they'll work. There might be a very good reason they were in that crate.

I never said Kies would brick the phones. Read the post... do you see any mention of Kies? The warning is there to alert the OP what can happen if he flashes incorrect firmware using Odin.
