Hey guys, I just got my 128gb GS6E and I am setting it up. I just looked at the storage on the phone and it says the system takes up about 14gb, leaving only about 112gb free to use. From my understanding the GS6 takes up about 7-8gb of system storage, does this concern anyone? BTW I have the T-mobile variant.

That should be more than enough free space for most people.

Some space will be taken up by the operating system but formatting also reduces the amount of free space. The amount is more pronounced with the higher storage options just like a standard HDD. Considering Samsung is using a new type of storage, these figures may vary from past models as well.

Don't forget the formatted storage is not 128GB, you easily lose about 9GB to formatting. I have a 128GB SD card and when I plug it into my wifes desktop computer I see about 119GB available space with nothing on it. So with a device that has an OS on it and formatted storage getting about 112GB is pretty good.
