Galaxy S6 - Stuck in ODIN Mode / powers off after 20 seconds

Having an odd issue, maybe someone can help: After replacing the LCD & front glass on a S6, the phone would turn on and accept a charge however it was caught in the boot loop. The phone was reported as having some software issues (heat issues) prior to my repair.

I used ODIN to install new firmware, received a success however it didn't work. The phone is now in a purgatory state where it can turn on but only for about 20-30 seconds at a time and will not register as charging when a cable is hooked up.
In short, I'm stuck at the "ODIN Mode" screen when trying to re-install the firmware or when pressing the power button I'm stuck on the "Software Update Failed". The problem here is that the phone keeps turning itself off. Sometimes it shuts off after just 5 seconds.
I bought two new batteries from different suppliers with the same results. I'm feeling that this is some type of messed up software boot glitch. Any way to fix this without the phone having to be on?

I'd really like to solve this issue and some suggestions on how to keep the phone "ON" would be great.

On a side note, is there a type of circuit board created item out there where one can hook up cell phone battery types OUT of the phone?

I'd really appreciate some pro help on this. Thanks.
