Galaxy s6 will not turn on

After receiving wireless Samsung charger as a gift and trying it for a few hours, my phone will not come on. No response to various reset methods that I have found on the internet. The red LED light does not come on while on wireless charger or original charger. While on the wireless charger, the pad lights up blue indicating it is charging, but never turned green for a full charge even after being on it overnight. The phone has not been dropped, wet, etc. Just simply will not respond at all. Thanks for any help

Welcome to Android Central! What happens if you press and hold Power for at least 20-30 seconds?

It's possible the battery failed. Do you recall the phone getting pretty hot while on the charger?

My Galaxy S6 suddenly froze and then the screen had just the empty battery with a lightening rod, the phone and charge get hot but the phone stays stays frozen. I have tried the rebooting and nothing, contacted Samsung who basically said tough. The phone is in perfect condition. help

Welcome to Android Central! What happens when you press and hold Power for 15-20 seconds? If the phone never powers on, then something with the hardware failed -- it could be the battery, the Power button, or the motherboard. If the phone is out of warranty, then your next option is to take it to a repair shop.
