Galaxy S7 charging issues

My Samsung Galaxy S7 is more than a year old, but I've been experiencing this issue even before, even when it was still running Marshmallow. I use GSam to monitor the battery, I noticed that while charging, when the temperature goes 40°C or 104°F and above, charging stops. Even AccuBattery reports having 0 mA entering the phone. Now, I know this is a safety feature so that your phone will not fry itself up, but my problem is after the charging stops, temperature obviously goes down, and when it goes down below 40°C, charging never resumes. Imagine if this happens in the middle of the night, you wake up in the morning to see it didn't fully charged.

I already factory reset this phone a lot of times. Also I'm not entirely convinced that this is just my phone's hardware issue as I'm also experiencing this on my A5 2017.

Btw, I live in a tropical area, and fast charging your phone along with constant carrier signal strength problems can get you above 40°C in no time.
