I got a couple of questions about my keyboard. I don't remember how my keyboard originally worked and looked. I'm wondering if I might of changed something inadvertently? We're the lower left 4 key blue and the lower right 2 keys blue? When I'm typing now there's a line underneath the word Im tying until I hit the space bar, don't remember that? When I tap the up arrow to changer from capital letters to lower case letter I have to double tap? Used to have something resembling a bubble on some wordstuff, don't see that any more? Thanks for response.

I don't have an answer for you, but just to give a heads up that based on experience, there are less users of the S7 keyboard here than there are of third party keyboards like Swiftkey, which can be downloaded from the Play Store.

Hi! I would root around in your keyboard settings to see if anything had been accidentally changed.

Do you like the experience of your Samsung keyboard otherwise?

Yes it works well I guess. I came from a 2008 flip phone. The biggest complaint is that darn little blue THING you have to try and drag around to correct spelling. Why don't they have the arrow keys like on computer so you can delete a letter easily? Thanks

Other keyboards like Hacker's, Swiftkey, and TouchPal have options for arrow keys. Not sure if Samsung still has the expanded layout option.

I don't see that option, but may not know what to look for. Unless there's an udate.

As another user has stated, I would recommend downloading a third-party keyboard app like SwiftKey to have more options and an improved UI.

Seems Google (was responsible and) has solved the bug, the Beta version of Android System Webview in Play Store (v. 55.0.2883.36) is working fine with Samsung Keyboard again. The current version (54.0.2840.68) has the problem.

You lost me there! Are you saying to go into Play Store and download what? You mentioned Google, I did get a new Google Now folder yesterday that I didn't ask for, it just showed up. Is that the latest and greatest? Trash can the Google folder? Thanks

You go to Play Store and find "Android webview". If the version installed is 54.xx.xx, look into the app information for the Beta test program and get into it. Some seconds after, it will show a new version 55.xx.xx which works ok with Samsung Keyboard.
Nothing to do with the Google Folder you mention.

Sure enough it says I have 54.0.2840.68. Can't figure out how to find Beta 55.xx.xx? Thanks

Search for Webview in the Play Store, open it, then scroll down and find the 'sign up for beta' button. Click it and you'll automatically download the beta version after a while.

OK found it. I read the what's involved with Beta programs and decided to not do that because I'm new to phone. Thanks to all for help and suggestions. I'll look for a new Keyboard app. and use it until Google comes out with original app. Thanks

Try Google keyboard it took me a bit but I love it way more then the regular keyboard. It's simple bit has some cool features you can play around with to get used to other types.
-came from stock iPhones -

I like SwiftKey because it has the right and left arrow keys. Dose Samsung or Google have this option? Thanks

Sorry if mure point. But Google has the option to slide along the space bar to move I personaly like that over keys
