Android Central Question

I reset my galaxy s7 as a last resort to fix the disabled wifi switch. Well, the wifi switch still doesn't work, so I can't unlock my google accout because i cant access wifi OR data. So basically my phone is a paper weight. Any suggestions? ?

You don't have data on this line? It should connect to data on its own through the initialization process when you first start the phone. If you're using this device as a wifi only device without a plan and the wifi isn't connecting even after the reset then I would try resetting it again. Sometimes not everything gets fixed with just one reset, and besides you've already done the hard thing once. I'm not sure if data tethering would work. I know some devices will allow you to share your internet with a PC via cable but I'm not sure if it works the other way, but that still won't allow you to have wifi which is why I would try another reset first. If you are using this device as a wifi only device you could always put your SIM in just for log-in purposes and then come back here and see if we can help you get your wifi back.

Welcome to Android Central! My guess is it's a hardware issue with the wi-fi radio or antenna. Bring it to a repair shop to check.
