Galaxy s8 keeps wanting to update, help!!

I have a galaxy s8 and it said there was an update the other day. So I updated it, 10 minutes after it said there was an update again, I must have done at least 4 updates and it still says it needs to update! I've had the phone for a few month now and purchased it new, I'm not sure what more information anyone needs to help. Thank you in advance for the help!

What carrier do you have? What is the version your s8 is on?

I am on T-Mobile and there have been several updates. Your phone may be just "catching up" on all the updates.

I have Verizon, I've always updated it in the past so it shouldn't be behind. How many times should I let it update before I can assume it's an issue? Because after 4 I'm a bit confused and concerned

That is strange, I have the plus and my wife just got her reg S8. Let me check her device to see if it has an update.

As long as the updates are in the phones own software updates section or galaxy apps / Playstore updates just go with the flow.

I have the exact same issue I've had my s8 for 8 days bought it brand new and since the day I got it home it prompted a software update which I have now downloaded 10 times and each time it finishes, another software update is prompting me to start it, to what seems to be a never ending software update. I believe this to be an actual issue as opposed to just catching up on updates.

Install BK Package Disabler (Samsung)
Disable the package called "Software Update"
