Galaxy S8 losing the headphone jack?

Hearing rumors the S8 will ditch the headphone jack. Any thoughts on this?

Haven't used wired headphones in a few years (except the ones that came with the V20 and only because the DAC would only work with wired... and while those were OK, I would not have paid retail price for them), so I certainly won't miss it. One less port to worry about getting water in while at the pool hehe

I do wish they improve their BT chips though. Not the greatest in range when compared to other phones.

Not a good move, however fans will still buy it. Music sounds better through auxiliary jack VS. bluetooth.

Losing the headphone jack? Weren't those 2016 rumors? I thought it was pretty much 99.9% sure the headphone jack was staying for now? Did I miss some breaking news or something?

No, you didn't miss anything. It's 99.9999% sure that it'll have a headphone jack. I can't say 100 because they haven't announced yet, but it'll be on there.

Didn't the leaks show it with a headphone jack? If not, then I really hope they're not stupid enough to omit it and try to call it cool and futuristic.

Still remember when some people called Bluetooth 'stupid and too short range', or removing serial ports from a computer in lieu of USB ports 'a bad move for Apple'. Wireless charging 'not a thing to catch on'. Waterproofing 'unnecessary'. List goes (and will go) on.
