It could be soon. B5 seems to be working pretty well and it doesn't appear that there is too much more work to do. Some third party apps need to catch up but that's nothing new.

It might as well, especially for the carriers and variants in scope. The US unlocked S7 series was lagging in updates, the unlocked S8 isn't. Besides, the carriers have been testing the firmware too. After beta 5 ending on the 15th, Samsung might give carriers 2-3 weeks to release updates.

I haven't played with it much, I updated last night. That said, this is one of the few updates I've received that actually seemed to speed up the phone. It's not night and day faster but it's snappy. The icon thing is cool, just hold down the messaging shortcut and it shows you your top like 3 contacts and you just tap their face and it takes you to that convo. It's the little things...

Thanks.. I will try and hold off upgrading until it has been out a couple of weeks, but in reality I will be hitting that check for updates button daily.
