Galaxy S8 using too much internet

[AC Question]

So i just bought a new galaxy S8 today and I have been having a problem with it all day, any time im on my computer and if I use my phone at all when the wifi is on it seems to make me have really high ping of 800-1200 and lose connection of games etc. This didn't happen with my old phone (S6). Would really appreciate if someone could help me resolve the issue.

This is an issue with your access point/router or cable modem. Is your router something old like 802.11g?

No it's quite new, this didn't happen with my old phone the S6 so why would it happen with this one, surely its the phoene

Unless the wifi in the phone is defective and flooding the air with radio gibrish , your router is what's gaining latency. Is the desktop also on wifi? And what model router btw.

No my computer is on ethernet and its a Huawei HG658C

Not sure dont have any others
