Galaxy tab 3 8.0? Owners please read.

Whenever the tab 3 line was announced, I figured that I had no need to upgrade from my tab 2 7.0 up to the new 3 7.0 model, due to the lack of a real upgrade (tab 2 7.0 and 3 7.0 have similar specs) Now since I have been studying the tab 3 8.0 , it seems to have a nice spec upgrade, and seems to be a very nice looking device, with small bezels, which means actual device size is close to 7.0 model. I have decided to look further at this device, and give it a second look.

I was wondering if current tab 3 8.0 owners could please tell me about the performance of games( such as Minecraft) on this device. My current tab does not do very well on intensive games, and I really am wanting a better gaming tablet. It does not have to be a power gaming device, but I need something that can handle games such as Minecraft, Asphalt 7, and other similar games without bad lag. Any comments from current owners would be appreciated.

First thing I did with this Tablet was purchase Asphalt 7. I just fired it up for a minute to confirm but I don't see any lag. I haven't played it on anything better than this Tablet but it definitely seemed to perform well.

I don't have Minecraft on it. I assume you mean Minecraft PE?

Yes, that is what I mean. I really would like to see how they perform in person. Hopefully I can get to BestBuy within the next few weeks.

I've installed Minecraft PE but still didn't play it. I'll get my daughter to try it out tonight.

However I DID just buy the newly released Riptide GP 2. It looks amazing and plays perfectly on the 8". I'm having a hard time working instead of taking "breaks" to play it.
