Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Screen wont start

the tablet was working fine yesterday, i used it for maybe 1hr today and then tried to use it again but the screen wont turn on. i tried charging it and it still wont turn on.i also held the power button to restart it and that didnt help. i cant load into recovery because it restarts itself. everything else works on it the touchscreen and music play when i click on the screen just no display comes on
