Galaxy Tab 3 freezing.

I've had my Galaxy Tab 3 for quite some time now. Recently, I have noticed the battery isn't lasting as long and needs to charge daily. But my main concern it that it will freeze at any inspected time. I've rebooted it and start doing what I want and then it will freeze again. So this morning I did a factory reset. I've already had to restart it twice because it froze while doing updates. This has been a great tablet but now I don't know what to do. Could it be the battery?

It's possible. Change the battery and see what happens.
