Hi everyone,

like my title say my tablet won't turn on or charge. Please note i have read MANY solution and none of them are workign for me.
- Open tablet and unplug battery
- Hold Power + Home
- Hold power + Volume down or up

Problem started a month ago, i left my tablet on charge for like 3 days. When i took the tablet she was just off

So i wondering, is my tablet dead, or should i replace the battery. Can the tablet can work on charge without the battery in it.

trying to figure out a way to troubleshoot my problem. Shes not under warranty anymore

Any help/tip is appreciate

Thank you

Marc

Welcome to Android Central! The possibilities include a faulty charging cable/wall plug, a faulty charge port, a dead battery, or a faulty motherboard.

First, try a few different charging cables (and preferably different wall plugs as well). Each time, let it sit on a wall outlet for at least 4 hrs without disturbing it to see if it charges up enough to power on. If not, try another cable.

If that doesn't help, then you could try replacing the battery, if you feel you're technically savvy enough. There are plenty of videos on YouTube showing you how to do it--just specify which size Tab 3 you have.

However, if it turns out not to be the battery, then you just wasted some money on buying the replacement battery. So if the different charging cables don't help, it would probably be best to bring it to a repair shop to diagnose and fix. Good luck!

Well no good, i just order a new battery. I hope its the battery ! Thx for your help

You might not even need a new battery. If you open the tablet and unplug and replug the battery it may do the trick. But be very careful. If you do this there are some good tutorials on youtube. Again be careful and I don't recommend this if you are uncomfortable opening up the back of the tablet. I did this for my tab 3 7inch

the charging issue is massive I like my tab 3 8" but it takes ten hours to fully charge which can really get on my nerves because of the chare on my electricity bills anything I can do to speed up charge time ????????

Are you using the charger that came with the tab 3.8 or a 3rd party charge?. My 3.8 only takes about 3-4 hrs to fully charge and runs for about 2 days.

Just had same issue,
Opened case, removed battery, plugged in charger, reconnected battery,

now charging OK.

Many Thanks.
