Galaxy Tab A 9.7 - Screen Keeps Dimming In Animation Apps

Hi,

My son has a Galaxy Tab A 9.7 and he enjoys making stop time animations. He's got Stop Motion Studio and Stikbot (Zing Studio) apps but whenever he tries to film something the screen dims substantially as soon as he goes into either video or photo mode on the apps and then he can't film anything.

I've tried a couple things - the obvious like the auto brightness on/off and also the screen mode - but nothing seems to help and I can't find any help online anywhere so hoping someone here would be able to shed some light on the problem (so the speak :))

Thanks,
Kate.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to clarify -- you're saying that when he wants to film something using those apps, the screen itself goes dim so that he can't see what he's filming? Does this also happen if he's using the stock Camera app to take a video, or only with those animation apps?

Try going to the App Manager, selecting the app, and Clearing Cache/Data. I'd also send feedback to the developer.
