Galaxy Tab S6 Lite no longer transfers files to PC

When I plugged into a PC, I used to get a popup to allow file transfers. Now I just get "charging" without any option to transfer files. This is a serious limitation. How can I fix it?

Have you tried using a different USB port and a different data/charging cable?

Welcome to Android Central! Also, when you connect and swipe down the notification panel, do you see a USB notification there? If so, tap it and see if you can select File Transfer (or MTP).
