Galaxy tab s6 lite screen dimming

[Android Central Question]

I got a new Galaxy Tab S6 lite a week ago and the screen dims and brightens while I am playing a game (not a gamer here, just solitaire and crosswords mostly). I can't figure out what is causing it or how to stop it. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it playing in game launcher?

Welcome to Android Central! Is Adaptive Brightness turned on? If so, try turning it off.
